I became a mother by using donated eggs. I feel very blessed that this technology, (which sounded very science fiction to me at first), is available. When I was diagnosed at a young age with a chromosomal translocation that caused my ovaries not to develop properly, I was told my only family building option would be adoption. When I was married, my reproductive endocrinologist mentioned the possibility of becoming pregnant with the use of donated eggs. What a miracle to be able to carry a pregnancy and for my husband and I to have our beautiful son. I am passionate about helping other women and their partners with their journey to becoming parents by using donated eggs. This is a difficult and emotional journey. I am so grateful for the support I had and feel strongly that I want to pay that help forward by being a part of an organization that will provide invaluable resources to families on this journey.

Lauri Berger de Brito never thought having a family would be such a challenge. While her first daughter was the blissful result of a very naïve IUI, it was only when she started trying for a sibling, that the world of secondary infertility came crashing down… with a vengeance. After suffering many miscarriages with IUIs, IVFs, ZIFT and even donor egg, Lauri turned to gestational surrogacy/donor egg to complete her family. She now is a very happy mom to 3 children – 1 biological, and 2 little ones via same egg donor/same surrogate but born a year apart.
Lauri is a former television producer, director and writer and spent countless years producing television she wasn’t always proud of. As co-director of the long-standing and reputable Agency for Surrogacy Solutions, Inc, & Agency for Fertility Solutions, Lauri now ‘produces’ babies… and is proud of every single one! There is nothing more rewarding and ultimately as important as bringing a child into the world who is so very, very wanted.
With her business partner, Kathryn Kaycoff-Manos, Lauri has ventured into another aspect of the fertility world. Their new website, www.GlobalIVF.com, aims to be the go-to site for all information regarding IVF/DE/GS around the world. Knowledge is power and power helps us realize our dreams.
Lauri lives in Los Angeles with her husband, three children, 2 dogs and one, sometimes two lizards. She is a proud member of PVED, ASRM, ESHRE, RESOLVE, EDSPA and can be reached at agency4solutions@earthlink.net.

Vicky graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing over 30 years ago. After completing one year of intensive medical nursing, she switched to a labor and delivery unit at a busy, prominent Army Hospital. It is there that "Vicky's" true passion was born. Her love of women's healthcare has been her focus throughout her career. She has the unique ability to truly empathize with our patients, as she underwent her own infertility struggles which culminated in the birth of her twins, 27 years ago. For the past thirteen years Vicki has been caring for patients as an IVF nurse with Long Island IVF.
As an Donor Egg Clinical Coordinator, Vicki oversees the Donor Egg staff and the coordination of recipient and donor care throughout their cycle. Her goal is to deliver excellent individual care, and give all patients hope in this difficult setting.
Vicki comes to PVED to help provide support to Donor Egg Recipients in choosing Donor Egg as an option for family building. She hopes to provide a comfort level in discussing donor screening, matching in an anonymous program, and in the processes involved. Vicki finds that when people have confidence in their physician, their process and finally their donor, the pieces come together much more cohesively. She would also like to educate potential recipients as to the donor screening process and what to look for in their clinic. In providing support, Vicki hopes that their dreams can become reality, instead of an ache in their hearts. Contact Vicki.

Gail Sexton Anderson, Ed.M., has dedicated her career to helping intended parents from all walks of life to build families. She holds a Master’s Degree in counseling from Harvard Graduate School of Education. After graduate school, Gail joined a research group in the Psychology Department at Yale University. Later, she joined a group of researchers in pediatric neurology at Yale New Haven Hospital doing developmental testing with children born prematurely of very low birth weight. Gail is also a graduate of Alice Domar's Mind Body Fertility Program through Boston IVF and has served on a Radcliffe panel with other fertility experts. She is also a member of the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Pacific Coast Fertility Society and the American Fertility Association.
In 1998, Gail began her work with intended parents, egg donors and surrogates. She specializes in listening to intended parents to hear about their fertility journey and to see were they are in terms of their readiness to create a family through egg donation. A large part of what Gail does is counseling couples and helping them to sort out what is most important to them in an egg donor or a surrogate. She has helped to launch four egg donor programs and was the executive director for one of the oldest and most respected surrogacy programs in the United States. A frequent speaker at fertility conferences, Gail has consulted with several organizations creating fertility service programs.
Gail founded Donor Concierge to help intended parents who need an egg donor find who they are looking for rather than settling. Gail learned long ago that no one agency will have the right donor for every intended parent. Gail has developed working relationships with many excellent egg donor and surrogacy programs, reproductive endocrinologists, fertility attorneys, and mental health professionals specializing in third party fertility counseling she has known and trusted for years. Gail is an empathic listener who brings a calming influence to what can often be an emotionally stressful process. Gail has a long history of helping intended parents sort through the many issues they face as they mover toward parenting via egg donation.
Donor Concierge has access to over 12,000 egg donors through over 50 egg donor agencies across the country. We send only donors who are currently available, college educated with at least a 3.0 grade point average in school. Donor Concierge reviews each donor’s profile to make sure there are no physical health, mental health or addition concerns regarding the donor or her family. We can usually find a minimum of 8 but far more often 24 egg donor candidates that meet our clients criteria. Gail has arranged for the agencies we work with to reduce their fee to our Donor Concierge clients by $400-$1000.
Gail has been married since 1984 and has two wonderful children. Having the privilege of being a mother has ignited her passion for helping others experience the joy of parenting. She is excited to have joined the advisory board of Parents Via Egg Donation because of the support that they offer intended parents. Moving forward with an egg donor or a surrogate is a huge leap of faith. Intended parents need all the support they can get to make sure they are educated and directed to individuals and organizations that are worthy of their trust. Parents Via Egg Donation is an invaluable source for intended parents as they explore their options. You may contact her via Email .

In my early 20’s I donated my eggs to an amazing young woman who was in remission from breast cancer. After seeing the opportunity that was given to her by the technological advancement of reproductive medicine, it occurred to me that this was the single most amazing experience of my life to date.
Ever since, I have committed myself to the field of assisted reproduction still going strong nearly a decade later. I graduated from the University of Washington in 1998 w/ a degree in Speech Communication, spending several years doing competitive speech and debate at the national level. I’ve used my public speaking skills at many assisted reproduction evens and symposiums to speak with intended parents and potential donors about family building opportunities.
With the support of several IVF clinics, doctors and staff members that I had become close to throughout the years, I was encouraged to start my own egg donation agency. From this support, Gifted Journeys was born. I plan to continue spreading the word about Egg Donation and the opportunities that are out there for both recipients and donors. Implementing my belief that all loving people who want a chance to start or grow their family, without judgment or bias, and with equal opportunity and support, should have that option.
